NonStop Bhangra was born in 2004 when Dholrhythms teamed up with Dj Jimmy Love to provide a dance night for students of Dholrhythms Bhangra Classes. The demand was evident and soon venues filled up, and a grass root word of mouth movement began culminating in a monthly event which has become a popular staple of San Francisco. NonStop Bhangra is a huge destination creating sold-out nights and write-ups in all the local papers as one of the best dancefloor nights in all of Bay Area.

NonStop Bhangra(NSB) combines dj's, dance lessons, performances, live dhol(drum), tabla players, visuals, and live painting all dedicated to celebrating the spirit of Bhangra. Creating a vibe focused on making you dance nonstop, every month NSB welcomes an eclectic group of the most cutting edge dj's known in SF and beyond to join them in the mix for rare bhangra sets.

With a goal to share bhangra with the masses, NonStop Bhangra Collective has blazed a trail presenting punjabi music in a fresh and unique way; an accessible approach that leaves no one out. Dj Jimmy Love cuts songs on the fly, mixing traditional tracks as well as remixes, all fused with dhol and scratching. The infectous energy is led by the beautiful ladies of Dholrhythms Dance Troupe who provide dance lessons and performances filled with vibrant outfits and smiles that spin your eyes dizzy and compel you to join in the vibe. Visual Dj's cut up vidoes, while live painter, Marcus Murray creates a new piece of art for each event.

The collective continues to increase its efforts to raise awareness and share this beautiful energy with the masses. In addition to playing at the legendary Stern Grove Festival, NSB Collective have shared stages with some exceptional artists such as Anoushka Shankar, Karsh Kale, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Native Elements, Sila and the Afrofunk Experience, BSide Players, BlackMahal, Delhi2Dublin, J. Boogie's Dubtronic Science to the Dhamaal Collective.
